Pelvic Health and Reconstructive Surgery Center - Texas Health Flower Mound
Texas Health Flower Mound is proud to open its new Pelvic Health & Reconstructive Surgery Center and introduce the new Medical Director, Marie-Blanche Tchetgen, MD.
Dr. Tchetgen is a dual-board certified physician in urology and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. She and her team will focus on restoring quality of life to patients with pelvic floor disorders in Flower Mound and the surrounding communities.
Stress Relief on a Growing Community
Dr. Tchetgen understands the stress that comes with pelvic floor malfunction, “It can be embarrassing [for patients] to have problems of incontinence, whether urinary or fecal. These are disorders that are usually not life-or-death matters, but in fact do wreak havoc in a patient’s quality of life.”
She states the purpose of the Pelvic Heath Center will be to “normalize seeking care for pelvic floor conditions while acting as a caring and compassionate haven for addressing sensitive issues in a matter-of-fact fashion.”
The Center will act as a hub for multi-disciplinary urology care to both men and women with a wide variety of disorders affecting the pelvic floor, including urological, gynecologic, and colorectal conditions.
Options for Every Patient
Both surgical and non-surgical treatments will be available at the Pelvic Health Center. Among the many options for treatment, Dr. Tchetgen and her team will perform trans-vaginal repairs of vaginal prolapse, fistula, and diverticulum.
Robotic-assisted laparoscopic prolapse repair and revision of vaginal mesh complications will be performed as well. And minimally invasive and advanced treatments for incontinence are also long-term options.
So, whether the condition is simply bothersome, or extremely stressful, the Pelvic Health team's goal is to form a partnership with patients to get them back to a healthy and functional status.
